INSTRUCTIONS FOR COMPLETING
COMPLAINT FORM

 

The City of Bellbrook investigates complaints that may involve a violation of City ordinances. When submitting a complaint, please provide as much information as possible such as the exact street address of the problem, when the problem occurs, and how the activity or condition is a problem. If the activity or condition is easily visible from your property, it helps if you give permission for city staff to walk on your property to view the activity or condition. If you would like to be updated on the status of a complaint, please provide your name and phone number.

Once an inspection is made and it is determined that a violation exists, ownership of the property is determined, the owner is notified, and given a reasonable period of time to make corrections or repairs. The time period given depends on the nature of the activity.

If the problem isn’t corrected within the time allowed, a citation may be filed. Depending upon the nature of the violation and the required legal processes, it may be 60-90 days from the time a complaint is made until a correction is made. In other cases, the correction may be completed in a week or less.
