Department Certified by State Board
The Bellbrook Police Department has been certified as meeting state standards established by the Ohio Collaborative Community-Police Advisory Board as part of the state’s efforts to strengthen community and police relations.  The department joins nearly 120 other agencies across the state that have become certified by meeting rigorous standards for the use of force, including deadly force, and agency recruitment and hiring.  The standards are the first of their kind in Ohio and were developed by the Collaborative in August 2015.

“With the achievement of this certification, it demonstrates the Bellbrook Police Department’s level of professionalism, dedication, and commitment to 21st century police practices,” said Police Chief Doug Doherty.  “We are honored to be recognized with this certification as it illustrates our daily efforts in meeting high standards and being transparent to the community we serve.”
