Please Note: Your regular collection day, which is Friday, will be
delayed one day during the week of the above Holidays. Therefore,
your collection day will be Saturday during the weeks in which the
above holidays occur. Your normal collection schedule will resume
the next week.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
The Dempsey Waste Customer Care Representatives are available to
assist you Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at (937-268-8110). On
Saturday we are available from 8:00 am to 11:00 am. For assistance
on Saturday, please call (268-8595). When you hear the recording,
dial 106 and someone will be happy to assist you.
GENERAL SERVICE GUIDELINES
All collection services for Bellbrook residents will be done on
Friday with the exception of the holiday weeks listed.
Trash, recycling and yardwaste should be placed at the curb the
night before collection or by 6:30 am of your service day.
Trash should be placed in cans or bags. Trash receptacles should
have a capacity of 20 gallons but no more than 35 gallons with
handles for lifting and tight fitting lids to keep out vermin. The
weight should not exceed 60lbs. Dempsey does not dump paper barrels,
buckets or drums of any size. Plastic bags may be used that are
designed with sufficient strength to hold 50lbs. When lifted from
the top. Please do not overload containers or bags.
YARD WASTE DISPOSAL
Yard waste includes grass clippings, leaf fall, and small branches
less than four feet in length and two inches in diameter. All yard
waste must be placed in a Dempsey Waste paper yard waste bag. These
bags may be purchased at Dot’s Supermarket, 118 West Franklin. Yard
waste in any bags other than Dempsey yardwaste bags will not be
collected. (Dempsey Waste will be clearly marked on the front of the
bags.) Tree trimmings must be less than four feet in length,
bundled, and tied with a Dempsey yard waste bag attached.
NOTE: Separate yard waste routes will only be operating May through
November.
RECYCLING SERVICES
Thank you for participating in our curbside
recycling program. Our easy to use guide to recycling is
included in this brochure. Plastic recycling bins have been provided
and should be placed at the curb on the same day as trash and
yardwaste. Please keep your recycling bin a few feet from the trash
so the recycling driver can see it. If you have not received a
recycling bin please call our customer service line and we will
deliver one to you. If all of your recycling does not fit in the bin
you may use clear plastic bags or paper bags for the overflow. If
your bin is lost or stolen please call our customer service line for
a new one. If you would like an additional bin please call our
customer service line. There is an additional charge for more than
one bin.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
Bulk Items Service
Large items such as washers, dryers, hot water heaters, and
furniture are considered bulk items. Please notify customer service
up to three (3) days prior to your service day to schedule your bulk
item collection. Bulk items will be collected on the same day as
your trash service. If you have a bulk item that contains Freon,
such as refrigerators or air conditioners, we ask that you have your
appliance dealer collect them when delivering the new one. If you
have an appliance that hasn’t had the Freon removed and you want to
set it out for disposal, please let customer service know when you
call.
We will also collect two auto tires per week per customer
TOTER SERVICE (MOBILE CARTS)
90 Gallon mobile carts on wheels are available for rental. Please
call customer service for rates and deliver date information.
CONSTRUCTION/LARGE DEBRIS CONTAINERS
Construction waste and debris means waste from building
construction, alterations or repair, dirt from excavation, and
manufacturing or trade waste not classified as municipal waste.
These materials will not be collected with you regular trash.
Dempsey offers our Jr. Express Service designed specifically for the
residential homeowner. Our Jr. Express rolls off containers are
perfectly suited to home construction, remodeling or roofing
projects. Please call customer service for details.
CHRISTMAS TREE REMOVAL
Christmas trees will be collected along with your regular trash
through the month of January. Christmas trees must be cut into for
(4) foot lengths and placed at the curb with your regular trash.
