Little Free Libraries

In the winter of 2018, the City Manager tasked the Service Department with using spare materials to construct Little Free Libraries for the community. They created 4 of these Little Free Libraries which were installed in the Spring of 2019. The libraries were made by Paul Stroud, Jon Dalton, Matt Sanderman and Brett Woeste. Their creativity was amazing and we like to think we have some of the most unique Little Free Libraries around!

Local Girl Scouts of Western Ohio Troop 33263 took the Little Free Libraries on as their project to help fill. They were responsible for a book drive and filling. They also continuously check on them and make sure the structures are in good shape and full of books! They have done a great job!

This has been a wonderful community project and we hope you take the time to visit one, or all, very soon!

What is a Little Free Library?
A Little Free Library is a “take a book, return a book” free book exchange. Anyone may take a book or bring a book to share.

Are there Little Free Libraries in Bellbrook?
Yes! There are four Little Free Libraries that were sponsored by the City to install. There are also a few more that citizens have put up themselves!

Here are the locations of the ones the City of Bellbrook installed:

Bellbrock Park near East Walnut Street

Petrikis Park near Hillrise Circle

Bellbrook Fire Station #2 on West Franklin Street

State Farm Insurance on South Main Street

How Do I Participate?

That's easy! If you would like to borrow a book, simply visit a Little Free Library and take one!

If you would like to leave a book, you can do that too!

We have quite the stock of books right now so are unable to take a bunch of books off your hands but feel free to leave one or two here and there!
