The Bellbrook Police Department has one officer assigned to Criminal Investigations.  Detective Josh Warren works five days a week, Monday through Friday, and is supported by members of the Patrol staff.  Examples of current functions performed by the detective include Crime Scene Processing (the department has seven Evidence Technicians), Common Pleas, Juvenile, Municipal Court Liaison, City and County Prosecutor Liaison.  The detective processes all felony filings by the Bellbrook Police Department.

The department routinely investigates fraud, internet theft, credit card misuse, and identity theft.  We work closely with a diverse group of investigatory agencies, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF), the Ohio Department of Liquor Control, the Greene County ACE Task Force, the United States Secret Service, the Miami Valley Regional Crime Laboratory, and other regional agencies through their criminal investigation bureaus.  We prioritize our criminal investigation resources on a weekly basis.  As an organization, the Bellbrook Police Department will pursue all investigatory leads on criminal activity.
